Made for the way
you document.

Tell CareDraft what happened during the visit. It helps organize the details into a clinical draft — the care you provided, the patient's response, and the next steps you describe.

Built for your discipline
Designed for physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and skilled nursing notes.
Your details, organized
Use a single summary or the sections in your own note template. See fuller examples below.
You make it final
Check the facts, make edits, and decide what to keep. Every note starts as a draft for your review.

A few words from you. A readable draft.

From shorthand to a clinical note.

01 / Your quick recap

“PT f/u. Pt reports easier chair transfers, still unsteady with turns. Gait w RW, CGA; better foot clearance after cues. Practiced sit-to-stand, less UE push-off. Continue skilled gait/balance work per POC.”

Recap the visit in your own words. CareDraft helps turn your shorthand into a readable narrative.

02 / Your note, organized

Draft for review

Physical therapy · routine visit

The patient was seen for a physical therapy follow-up visit and reports easier chair transfers, though they remain unsteady with turns. Gait was observed with a rolling walker, requiring contact guard assist, with improved foot clearance following cues. Skilled intervention included sit-to-stand practice, noting decreased upper extremity push-off. Continued skilled physical therapy is indicated to progress gait and balance work as outlined in the plan of care.

How it works

From the visit to a draft you can use.

1

Dictate

Capture a de-identified recap after the visit. Dictate using your phone's speech service, or type your notes. Offline dictation depends on the device and its speech settings.

2

Draft

CareDraft AI turns your recap into a draft on your phone — as a single summary or section by section in your own note template.

3

Review

Every draft is clearly labeled and never auto-signed. You check each number, side, and medication before it goes anywhere. AI drafts — you decide.

4

Export

Generate a clean PDF or share the text — after an explicit confirmation that you've reviewed it and are authorized to send it where it's going.

The visit toolkit

More than a note drafter.

Build exercise programs, review medication lists, and organize your route in the same place you draft your notes. A practical toolkit for the work around every visit.

Home exercise programs

Exercise programs patients can actually follow.

Build a home exercise program from a searchable library of illustrated exercises — each with step-by-step instructions written for patients, not therapists.

  • Set reps, sets, and frequency per exercise
  • Save programs as reusable templates for common diagnoses
  • Add your own custom exercises to the library
  • Export a patient-ready illustrated handout, and drop a summary straight into your visit note

Take a photo. Build your med list.

Take a picture of a printed medication list or choose a photo you already have. CareDraft reads the words in the picture and fills in medication details for you to check and edit. The photo is read right on your phone.

  • Turn a photo into a medication list you can edit
  • Check each medication name, dose, and instruction before adding it
  • Save dated snapshots, so reconciliation has a paper trail
  • Search your medication history instantly

Visit Router

Your day, in driving order.

Type the day's addresses and visit times, then drag the stops into the order that makes sense from the driver's seat. When the day is planned, open the full route in Apple Maps or Google Maps, or send the day's mileage to the vehicle log in one tap.

  • Build and reorder the day's stop list locally
  • Drag to reorder, or sort automatically by visit time
  • Open the full route in Apple Maps or Google Maps when you choose
  • One tap logs the day's mileage to Vehicle Tracking

Saved routes are encrypted locally. Address suggestions send the typed search and approximate area to Photon (Komoot); turn suggestions off for manual offline entry. Opening a route shares it with your maps app.

Leave something useful behind.

Combine plain-language education modules into reusable packets, then export patient handouts and a teaching summary for your note.

Keep the miles with the visits.

Log trips and vehicle expenses, see monthly totals, and export a report for reimbursement or tax preparation.

Security

Your work deserves thoughtful protection.

CareDraft's note-drafting AI runs on your device, and saved records are encrypted locally. Clear boundaries help you understand what stays on your phone and what happens when you choose connected tools.

AES-256-GCM at rest

Every note, transcript, and recording is encrypted on the device with authenticated encryption.

Hardened key derivation

Your PIN protects the encryption key through PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA512 key derivation.

Biometric unlock

Open with fingerprint or face using your phone's secure hardware. The PIN stays as the root of trust.

Offline recovery code

One recovery code, generated on your device, shown once. It's the only spare key — and it's in your pocket, not on our servers.

No accounts, no telemetry

No account for note drafting, no advertising trackers, and no usage analytics. CareDraft does not operate a clinical-content backend.

Clear connection boundaries

Model downloads and address suggestions use the network. Your speech provider may process dictation online; exports and navigation go where you choose.

Plain talk

A few things to know before you start.

AI drafts need your eyes

Speech models can mishear numbers, sides, and medication names, and language models can make confident-sounding mistakes. Every draft is labeled as a draft, and reviewing it is part of the job — yours.

Built for de-identified drafting

CareDraft is a personal drafting tool for de-identified, post-encounter notes. Avoid patient identifiers, and follow your organization's documentation, privacy, and device policies.

No cloud backup, on purpose

CareDraft does not keep a server backup of your notes. If you lose both your PIN and your recovery code, the data is gone for good — no support ticket can bring it back. That's the cost of nobody else holding a key.

Needs a modern phone

Local AI needs available storage and memory. CareDraft E2B starts at 8 GB phone RAM with a roughly 3.4 GB model download. After setup, the drafting model can run offline.

Questions

A little more about CareDraft.

What works offline?

After the model download, AI note drafting runs offline. You can also type notes and use local records without a connection. Offline dictation depends on your phone having offline speech recognition available. Address suggestions and external map services need their own connections.

Does my dictation go to the cloud?

CareDraft uses your device's configured speech-recognition service. With offline recognition available, it can transcribe locally; on Android, the selected provider may use network processing depending on your settings. CareDraft LLC does not receive the audio or transcript. The CareDraft model drafts the note on your phone.

Is CareDraft HIPAA compliant?

CareDraft is intended for de-identified, post-encounter drafting. Local processing and encryption do not by themselves establish that a workflow meets your organization's requirements. Check with your organization before using it for clinical work, and read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

Which phones does it support?

CareDraft is in field testing on modern Android phones. Local AI is demanding — recent mid-range and flagship devices work best. An iOS release is planned.

What makes the CareDraft AI model custom?

CareDraft E2B and E4B are our own fine-tuned versions of Google's Gemma models. Fine-tuning means giving an AI additional training for a specific job — in this case, organizing home-health dictation into clinical notes. They run on your phone after download. This focused training does not guarantee accuracy; every draft still needs clinician review.

What data was used to train CareDraft AI?

Our downloadable models were trained on synthetic examples: fictional home-health visit dictations paired with example notes. These cover physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and skilled nursing. Your notes and dictation are not collected to train these models.

What if I forget my PIN?

Use the recovery code you saved at setup to unlock and set a new PIN. If you lose both the PIN and the recovery code, your data is unrecoverable — we hold no keys and no copies, so there's no master unlock. Keep that code somewhere safe.
