In the app, Settings → Contact Support → Report a bug starts an email that already includes your app version and phone model.
Please don't send patient information. Leave out names, dates of birth, addresses and anything else that could identify a patient. Describe the problem in general terms; we can help without seeing clinical content.
Phone requirements
CareDraft installs on most iPhones and Android phones, but drafting notes on the phone needs a phone with 8 GB of memory:
- Minimum: iPhone 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max, Galaxy S23 series, Pixel 8 Pro or Pixel 9.
- Recommended: iPhone 16 or 17 models, Galaxy S24 or S24 FE, Pixel 9 Pro or Pro XL.
The one-time AI model download is about 3.4 GB for CareDraft E2B, or 5.3 GB for the optional CareDraft E4B, which is meant for phones with 12 GB of memory. Use Wi-Fi and leave extra free space. After the download, drafting works without an internet connection.
Every other tool in CareDraft works without the AI model.
PIN and recovery code
Your PIN unlocks CareDraft on this phone. If you forget it, tap Forgot your PIN? and enter the recovery code you saved during setup. You can make a new recovery code in Settings.
If you lose both your PIN and your recovery code, your data can't be recovered. We don't have a copy, and we can't reset it for you.
New phone and deleting data
CareDraft keeps everything encrypted on this phone, and its encryption keys never leave it. Your notes can't be restored onto a new phone, even from a phone backup. Export anything you need before you switch phones.
To delete everything CareDraft stored, uninstall the app, or use Delete all data and start over on the PIN screen. You can also delete individual entries in the app, and Settings → Auto Cleanup sets how long saved entries are kept.
Dictation
iPhone: speech recognition runs on the phone.
Android: dictation uses the speech recognition service selected on your phone, such as Google's or Samsung's. Depending on that service and its settings, audio may be processed online. Check the service's privacy settings, and dictate without patient identifiers.
Common problems
The AI isn't available on my phone
Your phone has less than 8 GB of memory. The other tools still work.
The model download stopped
Check your Wi-Fi and free space, then open Settings → AI Model and try again. CareDraft checks every download and removes a damaged file automatically.
A draft has a mistake
AI drafts can be wrong, so review and edit every draft before you use it. If the same kind of mistake keeps happening, email [email protected] and describe it in general terms.
